Season & Flight Times
Our season begins in April and last through November. We offer two flights a day, morning flights (about one hour after sunrise) and early evening flights (about two hours before sunset). This is when conditions are most favorable for ballooning. All balloon flights are weather permitting. On average a balloon ride last approximately one hour. We suggest you allow up to four hours for the whole excursion.
What To Wear
Dress in comfortable, casual clothing in accordance with the temperature of the day. You won't be much warmer or cooler during the flight then you would be on the ground. You should also choose footwear that is suitable for walking through country fields. For morning flights the fields are sometimes wet with dew so waterproof footwear is recommended.
Transportation
We provide transportation to and from the pickup point, which is the McDonald's, at exit 18 off I-87. It's about 15 miles south of Lake George. If you have GPS the address is192 Corinth Rd, Queensbury, NY 12804
Number of Passengers
Our basket can hold four to five passengers per flight. If you have more than five people interested in going up, we would have to get a second balloon. Both balloons would then take off at same location. See our Balloon Rides section for discounts on larger groups.
Cameras & Camcorders
Cameras and camcorders make a balloon ride a much more memorable experience, that you can share with friends and family long after the flight. Cameras and camcorders are welcome and encouraged, but please remember space is limited on board.
From Pick Up To Drop Off
We begin our adventure by picking you up at the McDonald's, at exit 18 off I-87. We then bring you to our launch site, which will be determined by the direction the wind is blowing. At this point, if your interested in learning more about ballooning, you can help us in the set up and inflation process of the balloon. If not interested, then you can just watch and or take pictures while we inflate the balloon in front of you. We then take you on about a one hour balloon flight. Which if you've never been before is like nothing you've ever experienced. It's now time to land the balloon where we have champagne and or beverages(soda, juice, water) waiting for you. We then deflate and pack up the balloon and take you back to the location we picked you up from. Thus completing your adventure with us.
